Jaw Crusher Jaw Plates & Spare Parts

Jaw crusher jaw plates — fixed (stationary), swing (active), toggle plate, seat and block, and cheek plates. Cast in Mn13Cr2

Wear parts for primary crushing: the fixed (stationary) and swing (active) jaw plates, the toggle plate, seat and block that carry the thrust, and the cheek plates that line the sides of the chamber. Cast to the crusher model, in the manganese grade the feed actually needs.

Fixed or swing: which plate has actually worn

The two plates fail differently, and the difference tells you what to replace. The fixed (stationary) plate wears hardest at the feed end, where the rock is still large; the swing (active) plate is scrubbed through an arc, so its teeth peen and polish across the middle before it loses any thickness.

Once the two profiles no longer match, replacing one plate alone is a false economy: a new fixed plate working against a stepped swing plate closes the chamber unevenly, and the plant loses capacity long before the new plate wears out.

Choosing the manganese grade from the feed, not from a catalogue

Mn13Cr2 work-hardens quickly under a steady load and is the usual choice for limestone and similar medium-abrasive feed. Mn18Cr2 is for hard, blocky rock where the impact is severe; Mn22Cr2 is reserved for the heaviest primary duty — large-feed granite and basalt — where a 13% plate work-hardens too slowly to survive its first weeks.

Three details settle it faster than any datasheet: the rock type, the feed size (F80, or the screen cut above the crusher), and the tonnage the current plate lasted. Send those three and the grade is confirmed before anything is cast.
