The deliberate weak link in the jaw crusher’s force path: it transmits the swing jaw’s thrust and breaks before the frame, the pitman or the bearings do. It is also the part that sets the closed-side setting, because its length decides where the discharge opens.

Price is indicative, per kilogram, and moves with the manganese grade and the weight of the casting. It is fixed on the quotation. Delivery time is production time and does not include sea freight.
Fits: the model, not the size
Every plate and casting is quoted against a crusher model and, where one exists, the drawing — so it bolts onto the existing seat instead of being fettled to fit. That covers our own PE and DC series and the imported machines most often re-lined in the field. Where only a worn part is available, the profile is measured and drawn before casting. PE series, DC series, Metso Nordberg C, Sandvik CJ / JM, Terex Pegson, Terex Finlay, Kleemann MC, McCloskey J, Komatsu BR.
Warehouse stock and loading
Photographs taken in our own warehouse: finished jaw plates in stock, packed for export, and loaded for shipment. Stock levels change week to week — ask what is on the floor before you plan a shutdown.
Three parts that are quoted together
A toggle assembly is a plate, a seat and a block, and all three sit in the same load path. Supplying one without checking the other two is how a new plate fails in its first weeks.
- Toggle plate — the cast plate between the seat and the block. Length and thickness cut to the model; a plate a few millimetres out moves the whole discharge curve.
- Toggle seat — the machined seat at the frame end. It wears into a step, and a stepped seat cracks the next plate that sits in it.
- Toggle block — the block at the swing-jaw end. Carries the same load and is normally changed together with the seat.
Symptoms worth checking the toggle for
- The jaw stops dead on a hard feed and then restarts: rule out a cracked plate riding on its seat first.
- The discharge setting will not hold after adjustment: check plate length and seat wear before touching the wedges.
- A plate that fails within weeks of fitting: look for a seat that is out of flat, or a swing jaw that is not travelling square in the frame.
Material
Grey iron is the sacrificial choice — it breaks cleanly and protects the frame, which is the whole point of the part. Cast or ductile steel is used where the plate is expected to survive a heavier continuous load. The grade is quoted against the duty and the crusher model, not chosen by default.
How to order
Send the crusher model and the length of the plate between the seat and the block — or simply the drawing number. Length is the dimension that has to be right, so it is confirmed before the plate is cast.
