The deck count is the number of screens in the box: 2YK two decks, 3YK three, 4YK four. Motor power shown as 22x2 means two motors of 22 kW. Capacity depends on the aperture, the bulk density and the proportion of oversize in the feed.
The YK vibrating screen grades crushed stone, sand and ore into saleable sizes. The screen box runs a circular motion on a rigid frame, which keeps the bed of material turning over as it travels down the deck, so the particles are presented to the apertures again and again instead of riding on top of each other.
The machine uses a tyre coupling, a flexible connection and runs steadily. The ring groove rivet connection makes the frame strong and durable, and thin oil lubrication gives the bearings a longer life than grease. The motor drives the exciter through the tyre coupling and the high speed rotation of the eccentric block generates a strong centrifugal force, which puts the screen box into a forced continuous circular motion. The material takes that motion as its driving force and makes a continuous throwing motion on the inclined screen surface: it is layered when thrown and screened against the apertures when it falls, and that classification repeats along the deck.
Twenty models are published, 2YK-1230 to 3YK-3680. Deck counts run from two to four, screen surfaces from 1200x3000 mm to 3600x8000 mm, and capacity from 10-90 t/h on the smallest two-deck unit to 150-1000 t/h on the largest, with motor power between 7.5 and 45x2 kW and weight from 2.3 to 21.4 t.
Choose the deck count by how many products you have to separate, then the screen area by the tonnage and the aperture you are cutting at. Aperture, bulk density and the proportion of oversize decide the real capacity, so the table figure is the starting point, not the guarantee.
