Twin motors are shown as 1.5x2 and so on, i.e. two motors of that rating. The trough is installed at a downward inclination of 10-15 degrees, which is what lifts the feeding rate to the figures above.
The pan feeder, also sold as a small plate feeder, takes a ZG type inertial vibrator as its excitation source. There are no rotating parts and very few wearing parts, so there is almost nothing on the machine to service: the trough is driven straight by the vibrator and rides on a spring support. The body is installed inclined downwards, normally by 10 to 15 degrees, and that inclination is what lets a short trough deliver a large feeding rate.
The feeder is made up of two sets of ZG type inertial vibrators, the shock absorbers and the feeding trough. The two vibrators are fitted symmetrically on the trough body, so the trough works along the resultant force of the pair in a simple harmonic vibration. Feeding is produced by this reciprocating linear motion along the inclined direction: the material is thrown forward in short steps rather than carried by a moving part.
Seven models are published. The GZD2575, GZD3070 and GZD3090 take troughs of 2500x750 to 3000x900 mm and feed 50-140 t/h; the GZG and GZGI models run from the 1200x800 mm trough of the GZG8012 to the 2000x1400 mm trough of the GZGI1420, covering 80-700 t/h on twin motors of 1.1x2 to 3.7x2 kW, with maximum feed size rising from 200 mm to 450 mm.
To size the machine, start from the largest lump in the feed and the tonnage the next machine has to receive, then confirm the suspension height and the inclination available at the feed point. A closed body and a wear liner can be specified where the material is dusty or abrasive.
